West Ham United drew 0-0 away at Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup Third Round in a lacklustre performance.

West Ham’s team included Joe Hart, Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate, Andre Ayew, Arthur Masuaku and Javier Hernandez but they were second best against League One Shrewsbury Town, who probably deserved to win the tie.

There were a few positives to take away though – the likes of Declan Rice, Josh Cullen and Reece Burke put in good shifts.

And there was a long anticipated debut for Toni Martinez.

The youngster, who is prolific at youth level, was introduced as a late substitute but he failed to get into the game due to a lack of service.

He spent a period of time on loan at Oxford United last year but yesterday was his first competitive senior game in claret and blue.

Nonetheless, West Ham fans were delighted to see the Spaniard on the field of play and here is how they reacted to his debut on Twitter.
