West Ham United produced a disappointing display in the FA Cup Third Round against Shrewsbury Town, drawing 0-0 with the League One side.
And, in truth, the Hammers were outclassed by the minnows and were perhaps lucky to come away with a draw.
David Moyes selected a squad which initially seemed like a good blend of experience and youth but the likes of Andre Ayew, Javier Hernandez, Pedro Obiang and Chiekhou Kouyate failed to impress.
In fact, aside from Joe Hart in goal, the youngsters proved to be the best players on the pitch with impressive showings from Declan Rice and Josh Cullen in particular.
Cullen has recently returned from a loan spell at Bolton and some West Ham fans have been calling for him to get first team opportunities.
The Republic of Ireland under-21 international looked tidy in the middle of the park and battled on until the final whistle despite losing his teeth when he was kicked in the face.
Here are how West Ham fans viewed the youngster’s display.

Josh Cullen is my man of the match for West Ham! One of the only players that cared out there today and put pressure on every Shrewsbury player! #WHUFC #COYI

Take a bow Josh #Cullen – shedding blood, shorts & teeth for the #WestHam cause. Others, take note #SHRWHU #COYI #WHUFC #FACup

I sincerely hope he keeps Cullen at least, we are really missing someone in the middle that can actually pass the ball and deliver set pieces

Think Cullen should be kept, looked busy and plenty of energy, think he deserves a go in the PL

Cullen needs to replace Kouyate. Knock 2 teeth out of Kouyate and send him to Bolton. They’ll never guess.
