West Ham United are closing in on the signing of Sead Haksabanovic, according to ESPN FC.
Sources close to ESPN FC believe that the Hammers have won the race to sign the highly rated young midfielder, who has previously attracted attention from the Premier League elite.
Sead Haksabanovic plays as an attacking midfielder and currently plies his trade for Halmstads BK.
Halmstads BK play in the Allsvenskan – the top tier of Swedish football.
Haksabanovic has been a key member of their team for a while and has already clocked up over fifty senior appearances for the Swedish outfit despite being very young.
So far this season, Haksabanovic has scored five times in 22 games for Halmstads BK.
The 18-year-old has been on trial with a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, it appears that the Hammers have acted quickly to beat these sides to his signature.
West Ham are expected to complete the signing of the talented teenager after agreeing to pay €3m for his signature, which roughly works out as £2.7m.
At just 18 years of age, the rising starlet has already made his senior debut for Montenegro.
The once-capped Montenegro international has been given permission to fly to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before this deal is finalised.
