West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian is on Newcastle United’s summer wishlist, according to Sky Sports News.

Sky sources understand that Newcastle United want Adrian to bolster their goalkeeping options ahead of the 2017/18 season.

The Magpies, who won promotion to the Premier League last season, want to sign a new goalkeeper even though they have Tim Krul, Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman on their books, as well as having Matz Sels out on loan.

After missing out on Willy Caballero, Rafa Benitez has decided to pursue a deal for Adrian.

The Spaniard, who received his first senior call-up last season but is yet to play for the international Spain side, is said to be unhappy that West Ham have signed another goalkeeper.

The Hammers brought in Joe Hart this summer to address the goalkeeper position.

Both Adrian and Darren Randolph had a few error-riddled performances last season as they both were dropped at different times in the season.

Adrian has been with West Ham for four years, since joining on a free transfer from Real Betis in summer 2013.

With 123 appearances for the Irons under his belt already, the 30-year-old is liked by Slaven Bilic, who wants to keep him and hand him a new contract.

However, his future depends on whether Adrian is prepared to stay and fight for his place or whether he would prefer to be the number one choice at Newcastle.
