The West Ham team of 2021 is edging closer to beating The Boys of ’86’s impressive win record.
David Moyes’ side have won 20 top-flight fixtures in 2021, which is one shy of the 21 victories the Hammers collected in 1986. They should eclipse it quite comfortably with eight more Premier League fixtures to play this calendar year.
It has been an impressive two years for the team since David Moyes returned to the club, going from relegation battlers to the top-four of the Premier League and the last-16 of the Europa League.
And the club’s record in 2021 further adds to the evidence that Moyes is laying the foundations for a potentially very successful era in east London, with there being no signs of the team slowing down anytime soon.
West Ham 365 perfectly displayed the above achievement on Instagram this weekend, via BBC Sport, which you can see below.
Will this current squad forever be known as the Boys of ’21 moving forward?
