West Ham’s defensive restructure at the London Stadium is showing no signs of an end, with Manuel Pellegrini eyeing another addition.

The Hammers have already bolstered their options at the heart of defence with the captures of Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena but, following Winston Reid’s latest injury setback, want another recruit.

According to The Daily Mail, West Ham have submitted a bid for Le Harve’s 20-year-old defensive ace Harold Moukoudi – although they face a fight to secure a deal for the £10.7m rated defender.

Europa League hopefuls Burnley are now stated to have entered the chase for the young defender, who currently plies his trade in the second-tier of French football, and could submit an offer of their own.

Sean Dyche’s side want further defensive depth despite their recent club-record signing of Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough, which could spark a bidding war.

West Ham may have to sell in order to raise funds for further activity but have a number of players they are keen to offload.
