West Ham are keen to continue their spending spree in the final days of the transfer window and midfield additions are being eyed.

Manuel Pellegrini has added Jack Wilshere to his central options but lost the services of Cheikhou Kouyate to Crystal Palace last week, leaving the Hammers lacking depth.

West Ham have been attributed with a long-term interest in Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro and have now been informed of the price for the Italy international.

CalcioMercato state the Serie A champions are seeking a fee of £18m for the midfielder, who has also been linked with Leicester, Newcastle and Fiorentina and has been regularly tipped for an exit from Turin.

The latter may hold the advantage in the pursuit for the 25-year-old due to the fact that Italy’s transfer window does not close until the end of the month, while West Ham have just days to trash out a deal.
