Another campaign has come to an end for West Ham and there’s likely to be a wealth of changes before the new season begins in August.

The Hammers are in need of significant additions in the coming months to bolster the squad in key areas, which also means that there could be a number of departures from the London Stadium.

One of those looking almost certain to leave the east London outfit is veteran defender James Collins, who has given years of service to the Hammers but sees his current deal expire in just a few weeks time.

There has been no indication of a new deal for the Wales international, now 34, but he’s made 15 first-team appearances across all competitions for West Ham this season – spending a large chunk of the campaign on the sidelines injured.

It’s clear that West Ham fans want the veteran defender to be awarded fresh terms though, as they flooded to social media to express their desire for the club to offer new terms.
