A close source to WestHamWorld.co.uk claims West Ham are expecting to have a bid accepted for Dendoncker before 6pm today to have any chance of signing the player before the transfer window shuts.

There are two flights from Brussels Airport into London Heathrow this evening, at 6.15pm and 9.10pm. It appears that the 6.15pm flight is best suited for West Ham to be able to schedule in a medical and complete all the necessary paperwork before the 11pm deadline.

A deal can be done beyond 11pm but an extension of time would need to be granted by UEFA and the Premier League.

West Ham seem to be franticly trying to bring in reinforcements in the final hours of the January transfer window, which will have been fueled by a recent bout of long term injuries to first team regulars.

While it has always been known that West Ham needed to bring in one or two new faces inĀ  the transfer window, the fact at least three or four new players are now needed, there could be a number of panic buys on the cards.

That said, 22-year-old Dendoncker would not be a panic buy. He is young, talented and has sell-on value if he does sign and go on to succeed in East London.
