It’s happened again; West Ham fans are beginning to raise hopes about a potential big-name signing coming in.
After failing to sign Maxi Gómez from Celta Vigo, the latest name to pique the interest of supporters is Eintracht Frankfurt’s Sebastien Haller.
There have been a variety of reports, but ExWHUEmployee has cleared things up about what the current situation is:
Just to confirm (as my words are getting twisted to suit what people want to hear). We haven’t had a bid accepted. We are very interested in him and want to get a bid completed soon. When it is,his representatives will be willing to discuss a deal with us and other interested clubs

While there is nothing definitive in the tweet, there is enough in there to get many West Ham fans thinking about the possibility of signing the Frenchman, while there are others who are already beginning to lose faith.
This will likely be a tough deal to complete, as Eintracht Frankfurt have already sold Luka Jović this summer, while other clubs are also probably going to be interested in securing Haller’s signature.
While time is of the essence, considering how much of it was wasted in the Gómez negotiations, there will be many who feel it is worth the risk to try and get the Frenchman.
Haller started 23 games and came on as a substitute in six, recording an impressive return of 15 goals and nine assists – with a prolific record like this it is understandable that fans want the club to do all they can to sign him.
