The Hammers were easily brushed aside by Chelsea at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday evening to continue the current poor form shown by Sam Allardyce’s side.
The result wasn’t particularly surprising, but the way in which it happened was. Supporters took to social media before, during and after the match to both document their day and voice their concerns about the direction in which the club is heading.
After a quick search on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, we’ve been able to put together a ‘social story’ of the day’s events, beginning with an ironic photo posted by the club itself and moving towards optimism and then anger as the Hammers offered little resistance as Chelsea and Frank Lampard ran riot.
