West Ham are eyeing significant deals in the transfer market this summer, which has already resulted in some exciting links.

One of the more recent rumours floating around suggests that new Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to sign Argentina international Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 28-year-old midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract in the French capital and the Ligue 1 champions are ready to offload in order to boost their financial status, as they seek to comply with UEFA regulations.

However, Pastore’s mammoth wages are an issue for the Hammers and they’re also not alone with their interest in the 29-cap South American.

Calcio Mercato state Serie A runners-up Napoli are also in the hunt for Pastore’s services, as they seek to bring the former Palermo man back to Italian football.

Napoli’s highly-rated squad is under siege from a number of top clubs in Europe and Pastore could arrive to fill the void left by Italy international Jorginho, who is heavily linked with a move to Manchester City.
