Said Benrahma’s improvement this season has been one of the biggest highlights for West Ham fans.

After joining from Brentford last season, it had taken the Algeria international some time to get up to speed and was often made to settle for a bench role as David Moyes slowly integrated him into Premier League life.

With just one goal and seven assists in 33 appearances last season, it was clear West Ham would need to see a vast improvement on his ability to impact games in his second season at the club, and so far he has delivered.

Four goals and two assists from his opening seven appearances of the season has given us all the evidence we need to suggest Benrahma can be a successful member of this current Hammers squad under Moyes.

The 26-year-old has linked up nicely with Michail Antonio so far this term, with the duo contributing a combined 13 goals and assists in the Premier League already – that’s 93% of the Hammers’ total league goals to date.

Having drawn a blank in the agonising 2-1 home defeat to old side Brentford before the international break, Benrahma will be eager to get amongst the goals when the Hammers travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday afternoon.

And the attacking midfielder certainly looks relaxed ahead of this latest test, judging by the picture the club posted on their official Instagram page, with Benrahma all smiles on the training pitch over the weekend…
