David Moyes’ West Ham return to Premier League action today with a tough test against sixth-placed Everton.

The Hammers achieved a smash-and-grab 1-0 victory at Goodison Park last term, thanks to a late Tomas Soucek goal, but will be wary of the Toffees’ newfound confidence under Rafa Benitez.

With just one win in five Premier League games, Moyes’ side will want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible, although it’s fair to say simply avoiding defeat would represent a successful afternoon, all things considered.

West Ham have a relatively poor Premier League record against Everton, winning just five in 25 previous attempts away from home – a 20% win rate at Goodison Park.

But with almost a fully fit squad to choose from, Moyes will no doubt be quietly confident of taking something back with him to east London come Sunday evening.

And the players look focused ahead of this test, judging by training photos uploaded to West Ham’s official Instagram page on Saturday.

The images show Kurt Zouma, Nikola Vlasic and Aaron Cresswell hard at work, with the former two preparing to face their old club this weekend.
