There may not be Premier League football for fans to look forward to – especially with West Ham scheduled to travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow night – but the London derby is still on…through FIFA 20.
Hammers forward Michail Antonio took to social media to explain his disappointment with football being cancelled and said: “I’m not missing playing a London derby this weekend…FIFA, who wants it?”
And just like that, Spurs youngster Ryan Sessegnon accepted the challenge and it has all been made official.
The FIFA match between the two rival clubs will be streamed live on Twitch and West Ham’s official website, with proceedings scheduled to start tomorrow night at 8pm – just as the Premier League match-up was set to take place.
However, there is more to it than just a simple game of FIFA. The loser will have to give a full apology wearing the other team’s shirt; facing the possibility of seeing Antonio in a Spurs shirt, fans have started to react to the news and the nerves are already building…
please god no
