Said Benrahma bagged himself a brace in West Ham’s 4-0 win over relegated Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

The Algerian’s double took his season tally to 11 in all competitions, which marks a huge improvement on the one goal he scored last season.

It’s fair to say it took the former Brentford midfielder some time to settle in east London, while he was also forced to be patient for his chance after David Moyes mostly used him from the bench last term – 17 of his 33 appearances last season came as a substitute.

This term, he’s made the same appearances off the bench but has started 31 games, compared to the 16 he started in 2020/2021.

So Benrahma’s improvements this season is clear for all to see and he’s a far more effective player, with his 17 goal contributions (11 goals, six assists) playing a huge role in yet another impressive campaign for Moyes’ men.

And the 26-year-old took to Instagram following West Ham‘s impressive win at Carrow Road to hail the victory.

Alongside photos of him celebrating his goals, Benrahma posted: “Sunday win and 3 points.”
