Manual Lanzini took to Instagram to thank West Ham fans for their “amazing support” after the Hammers’ 4-0 thrashing of Norwich on Sunday afternoon.
The Argentine scored the fourth goal via the penalty spot to strengthen West Ham’s position in the Premier League’s top seven, with two games of the 2021/2022 season remaining.
Lanzini’s effort was his seventh of the season, his best goal return since 2016/2017, when he scored eight.
And the midfielder, who performed brilliantly in place of the rest Tomas Soucek alongside Declan Rice in midfield, was quick to post on Instagram to hail the traveling West Ham support in Norwich, as well as congratulate his teammates’ ability to bounce back from their Europa League disappointment in such style.
Alongside photos of him celebrating with teammates and taking the penalty that he scored, Lanzini posted: “Good attitude today boys, very important game to keep fighting for these European competitions.
“Thanks to the fans for your amazing support.”

Lanzini’s improvement this season has been clear for all to see, with a consistent run of appearances seemingly giving him the confidence to perform in whichever position Moyes asks of him.
The 29-year-old has made 43 appearances in all competitions this season, which is the most he’s made in a single campaign since arriving at the club in 2015. It’s also the first time he has made more than 30 first-team appearances in a single season since 2016/2017 when he made 39 appearances.
Since signing from Al Jazira Club in July 2015, Lanzini has now made 201 first-team appearances for West Ham, scoring 29 goals and registering a further 27 assists.
