West Ham fans were rocked earlier this week with the confirmation that fan-favourite defender James Collins is set to leave.
The veteran has not been issued an extension on his deal that expires in just a few weeks time and, as such, will have to look elsewhere to continue his career.
While the departure of the Wales international was expected, supporters weren’t happy with the nature of the news breaking and it’s claimed Collins was only informed via email.
Co-chairman David Gold rejected those claims and Collins, commenting on his departure for the first time, took to social media with a post.
