It’s clear that Manuel Pellegrini has a lot of work to do at West Ham following a disappointing two years at the London Stadium and it seems he’s ready to significantly overhaul the squad.

The Telegraph states that the Chilean boss is eyeing as many as seven new signings for the Hammers this summer, as he begins his clear-out.

Joe Hart’s loan spell from Manchester City has come to a close and the east London side have also confirmed that James Collins and Patrice Evra are to be released upon the expiration of their contracts.

Sam Byram is also amongst those set for an exit and the departures, along with the other areas in the squad that already need to be bolstered, mean that Pellegrini could have a very busy summer.

His summer targets include two players he worked with previously at Manchester City, Yaya Toure and Willy Caballero, while he’s also likely to look to bolster his defensive line.
