West Ham will have to prepare themselves for a fierce battle in the transfer market, as interest in a reported target is rising.

Turkish Football report that Galatasaray have joined the Hammers in the market for Chievo Verona midfielder Samuel Bastien, who is also a target for Everton.

The Belgium U21 international has caught the eye of a number of clubs with his performances for the Serie A side since moving to Italy from Anderlecht in 2016.

Chievo, who finished five points above the relegation zone in Italy’s top-flight, now face a stern battle to retain the services of the talented youngster.

When first reporting interest from the two Premier League sides recently, French outlet L’Equipe also attributed Napoli and OGC Nice as keen on his services.

Bastien is likely to be on the move this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract and Chievo will be keen to earn a fee for his services, rather than lose him for nothing next year.
