West Ham are seeking a first victory this season against Bournemouth after a humbling defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday.

The Hammers were dismantled by Jurgen Klopp’s Reds at Anfield, suffering a 4-0 defeat, and find themselves rooted to the bottom of the standings at the embryonic stage of the Premier League campaign.

Fortunately, Manuel Pellegrini has been handed a defensive boost ahead of the hosting of the Cherries on Saturday as Claret & Hugh states that Aaron Cresswell has been passed fit for the first home match of the season.

Cresswell was left out of the defeat to Liverpool last weekend as Pellegrini did not want to take any chances with his fitness, which led to Arthur Masuaku featuring down the left side of the defence.

It is not a given that Cresswell will immediately return to the starting line-up in place of Masuaku but it does give the hosts more options for the game.
