West Ham United has joined in the latest social media challenge in a bid to create engagement from fans and respark some moments from the past.

With the COVID-19 pandemic preventing football fans from getting their regular fix of entertainment, clubs across the world are creating unique ideas to gain interaction from supporters; the latest challenge does exactly that.

West Ham has joined in with the challenge, in which you post a memorable picture with the caption: “If you’re a football person, please join the challenge of posting a football photo.

“Just one picture, no description. Copy the text in your status, share a picture and look at some great memories.”

The club’s social media team posted a picture from the Hammers’ 1-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this season, with goalscorer Aaron Cresswell seen closest to the travelling fans in the background.

And the post got plentiful reaction from claret and blue supporters. Some posted their own memories, while others reacted to the memorable day in west London:
