Even though the current season has not ended, the transfer rumour mill is in full swing.
West Ham are looking for a top striker this summer and could move for Raul Jimenez, according to reports in the Portuguese media.
Portuguese news outlet Record is reporting that West Ham United are ready to bring Raul Jimenez to the club this summer to solve the striker crisis.
West Ham were reportedly keen to sign the Mexican international when he was at Atletico Madrid but he joined Benfica instead.
Now the Hammers want to sign him from Benfica.
The report believes that West Ham are willing to offer €30m for the 26-year-old, despite his modest goal scoring record.
It cost Benfica €22m to sign Jimenez from Atletico Madrid and he has managed sixteen goals in sixty two games in all competitions for the Portuguese outfit.
Prior to that, the 6’3” centre forward scored just one goal for Atletico Madrid in twenty eight games.
West Ham’s striker search has seen them linked with numerous names already and Raul Jimenez is just the latest player to have his name mentioned.
