West Ham United have recently been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The Mirror are reporting that West Ham are ready to make a transfer move after learning that Olivier Giroud is frustrated with being a bench option for Arsenal.

If this rumour is true, West Ham should definitely be ready to make him our marquee signing this summer.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to accept offers in the region of £20m, while transfermarkt.com value Giroud at £21.25m.

In today’s market, that price is an absolute snip considering his pedigree.

Giroud has an outstanding record of 69 Premier League goals in 118 games and he would easily net at least fifteen league goals for us if he stays fit all season.

The Hammers are crying out for a striker who can stay fit and score goals and this is exactly what Giroud can offer.

The France international is also a physical presence: he holds the ball up well, is confident in the air and suits West Ham’s style of play.

As well as this, he has scored some sublime goals and has a sweet left boot.

The 30-year-old has a proven track record in the Premier League and this move seems feasible.

The owners should definitely be prioritising this deal to solve our striker crisis.
