West Ham and Swansea City in talks over a £12m deal for forward Enner Valencia, according to MailOnline.

Valencia has struggled to impress since signing for the Hammers two summers ago, scoring just 10 goals in 68 first team outings.

And his underwhelming performances for the Hammers so far this season, both in the Premier League and Europa League, has led to the Hammers seeking a way in which they can offload the Ecuador international.

MailOnline claim West Bromwich Albion have enquired about the striker but Swansea City are now favourites for his signature after initial discussions were held on Tuesday night.

The report claims the deal could be worth around £12m, which is what the Hammers paid Pachuca for him in the summer of 2014.

However, Sky Sports are reporting that Swansea are looking at a loan deal for the 26-year-old.

It is believed West Ham are desperate to offload Valencia so that they can pursue their own striker targets before Wednesday’s 11pm transfer window deadline.

Transfermarkt.com value Valencia at £8.5m and he has just under three years remaining on his London Stadium contract.
