It looks set to be a busy few days for West Ham, as Manuel Pellegrini continues to eye further additions.
The new Hammers boss has already secured seven senior signings for his squad in the close season and wants to add more in the final days of the window – with Arsenal’s Lucas Perez and Fiorentina’s Carlos Sanchez on the cards.
Pellegrini’s activity will not stop there though as The Mirror states the club are still hopeful of securing a deal for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater, in a loan deal that would cost around £3m plus his wages.
The England international has endured a difficult spell at Chelsea since joining from Leicester City last summer and a domino effect in the market could see him move across London.
Chelsea want to sign Matias Vecino from Inter Milan and will not sanction Drinkwater’s exit until a deal is complete, with Inter looking to land Luka Modric from Real Madrid.
