At the annual awards ceremony this year, Michail Antonio scooped the top prize.

The speedy, strong winger beat off the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid and Pedro Obiang to land the 39th Hammer of the Year award for this efforts this season.

Currently out injured, Antonio was integral to West Ham’s success when he was on the pitch.

The former Nottingham Forest man produces goals, assists and always gives 100% when he pulls on the claret and blue.

After recent reports, Hammers fans will now be anxious that their star man signs a new deal amid interest from Premier League champions-in-waiting Chelsea.

The Hammers received a boost last night, though, when owner David Gold confirmed on Twitter that Antonio was on the verge of signing a new and improved deal with the club.

After Antonio was unveiled as Hammer of the Year, fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.
