West Ham have been handed a Capital One Cup third-round draw at home to Wigan Athletic.

Sam Allardyce’s side reached the third-round courtesy of a 2-0 home win over Crewe on Tuesday, while Wigan overcame Nottingham Forest 4-1 on Wednesday night.

It’ll be the first time the teams face each other since the Latics sent West Ham crashing down to the Championship with a 3-2 win on the penultimate day of the 2010/2011 season, and the Hammers will be in search of revenge.

The tie will take place in the week commencing Monday 24 September.
