Since West Ham United made the switch to Stratford and departed their beloved Boleyn Ground for London Stadium, moments of joy and celebration have been rare to come by – but it makes those moments ever-so special.

After an emotional goodbye to Upton Park when West Ham finished seventh in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign, the club has failed to push into the promised land of European football; instead, the Hammers have found themselves in a relegation battle on more than one occasion.

However, despite the overwhelming amount of lows at London Stadium, there have been moments for claret and blue supporters to cherish.

West Ham’s first Premier League victory came in their first home league outing, defeating Bournemouth 1-0 courtesy of Michail Antonio’s 85th minute header. The 60,000 seater holds promise but lacks consistent, special moments to elevate the club.

We have ranked the five best Premier League wins at London Stadium thus far:

5. West Ham 3-0 Southampton – March 31, 2018

With Premier League status on the line, this was always going to be a tasty affair; a breathtaking first-half performance from David Moyes’ side made London Stadium shake.

Joao Mario’s effort coupled with a brace from Marko Arnautovic game the Hammers a 3-0 lead at half-time and it was certainly a performance to remember.

Both clubs faced the possibility of relegation and this three points delivered a huge boost of confidence that West Ham would remain in the top-flight.

4. West Ham 4-3 Huddersfield Town – March 16, 2019

Trailing 3-1 at home to Huddersfield in the 65th minute and it’s safe to say most Hammers fans that remained were waiting for the final whistle to come…but then a shock comeback occurred.

Angelo Ogbonna gifted West Ham a lifeline before second-half substitute Javier Hernandez scored twice with six minutes to play to complete the turnaround. Moments like this do not come around often and it remains one of the most impressive victories since the switch to Stratford.

3. West Ham 3-0 Crystal Palace – January 14, 2017

Dimitri Payet who? It was a pure release of emotion in east London when Crystal Palace visited back in 2017 – West Ham’s star man left in the January transfer window, but for this 90-minute period he was a distant memory.

A stunning performance that included an exquisite bicycle-kick from Andy Carroll was everything the club needed in a time of desperation, sparking incredible celebrations inside London Stadium.

2. West Ham 3-1 Manchester United – September 29, 2018

What. A. Day. London Stadium was truly rocking when Jose Mourinho’s side visited back in 2018, and it was close to claiming the number one spot in this list.

Felipe Anderson’s first goal in a West Ham shirt sparked excellent celebrations, but when Marko Arnautovic restored the Hammers’ two-goal lead in the second half it was a completely different feeling. Incredible.

1. West Ham 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur – May 5, 2017

What else was going to be number one? Tottenham had the chance to close the gap on Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table to just one point, but who else other than West Ham to spoil the party.

Manuel Lanzini’s strike in the 65th minute was the only goal of the game and London Stadium was the loudest it has ever been. Friday night, under the lights, it was always going to produce an incredible atmosphere, but this win against Spurs was something special.
