West Ham United completed their fifth signing of the summer yesterday.
Sead Haksabanovic joins West Ham on a five year deal after an undisclosed fee was agreed for his services.
According to reports by ESPN yesterday, West Ham have paid €3m for the 18-year-old.
The Irons have beaten off competition from the Premier League elite to snap up this starlet.
Predominantly an attacking midfielder, Haksabanovic also plays on the wing or deeper in midfield and he has scored five goals in 22 games for Halmstads BK this season.
The once-capped Montenegro international has already played seventy senior games for Halmstads BK, who compete in the top division in Sweden.
There was a mixed reaction to this news on Twitter.
Some fans were excited by the potential that his talented teenager possesses while others moaned that it was not the immediate fix that West Ham needed.
Here are a selection of responses after West Ham’s official Twitter page unveiled Sead Haksabanovic as a Hammer.

It's sad to hear so many WH supporters getting upset about the signing of an 18 year old talent.

Hopefully he'll be a great player but @davidgold will probably send him out on loan for the whole 5 year contract as he's too young…
