Significant changes lie ahead for West Ham this summer and it could see a number of experienced players leave the London Stadium.

Veteran defender James Collins has already been informed he won’t see his contract extended in east London and further changes at the back are expected, with the Hammers seeking to bolster their defensive line.

The appointment of Manuel Pellegrini this week is the first step to West Ham’s rebuild and it’s likely players will be sold this summer to raise funds in the market.

The Daily MirrorĀ names New Zealand defender Winston Reid as one of those having an uncertain future at the London Stadium, as the additions of new defenders will push the experienced centre-back down the pecking order.

Reid, who made 17 Premier League appearances for the Hammers this season, has also seen 19-year-old defender Declan Rice push into the first-team to command a spot in the side – handing him a further fight for football.

With reports suggesting Pellegrini could look to sign two new central defenders this summer, Reid’s future certainly looks bleak.
