Had Joey O’Brien not dislocated his shoulder in the 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Wednesday you could have put money on Sam Allardyce naming an unchanged side to take on Swansea at Upton Park today.
So George McCartney should come in to replace him is as new arrival Pablo Armero didn’t sign in time yesterday to feature in the squad today.
The only other changes I believe Allardyce may opt to make is replacing Mohamed Diame with Matt Jarvis and Matty Taylor with Antonio Nocerino.
Diame limped off against Chelsea after he crashed in to the advertising boards and ended up in the crowd, so Allardyce may leave him on the bench to give Jarvis the chance to match Swansea’s pace on the right flank.
Nocerino can add some composure to the midfield and may replace Taylor who, despite enjoying the best form of his West Ham career to date, can be a little too wasteful in possession. Nocerino should make us for resourceful if he features.
So here’s how I think Allardyce may line-up his Hammers side for the game against Swansea this afternoon…

What do you think? Is this the team you would play, or are there any other changes you’d make to the side that drew with Chelsea in mid-week?
