West Ham are eyeing a wealth of additions in the summer transfer market and look keen to take advantage of any free agents that become available.
The Hammers are widely reported to be closing in on the services of Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks, who’s contract with the newly-promoted side is coming to a close, and it’s claimed Manuel Pellegrini is eyeing another major deal.
The Daily StarĀ states the Chilean boss is eyeing Jack Wilshere’s situation at Arsenal very closely, as the England international has entered the final month of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Wilshere has endured a turbulent few seasons with injury problems but proved his worth to the Gunners last term, making 38 appearances across all competitions, but failed to earn a spot in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad.
While it’s understood Arsenal are keen to retain the services of their 26-year-old academy graduate, his future remains uncertain and crunch talks between the midfielder and new boss Unai Emery are poised to take place.
West Ham are not alone in the chase for Wilshere though, as Everton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Fulham and Wolves have also been attributed with an interest.
