After mathematically confirming their survival last Friday, West Ham go into this Sunday’s game against Liverpool with a bit of freedom.
The nervous shackles can come off and they can play with less pressure.
Liverpool, on the other hand, will be desperate to pick up three points when they travel to The London Stadium on Sunday.
Liverpool need to keep winning games to ensure they finish in the top four with Manchester United and Arsenal still in with a shout of Champions League qualification.
Jurgen Klopp will put out a full strength team while Slaven Bilic will be restricted to an injury-hit squad with the likes of Cheikhou Kouyate, Mark Noble, Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio, Angelo Ogbonna and Pedro Obiang all injured.
However, BBC Football pundit Mark Lawrenson has not predicted Liverpool to win!
This is certainly a surprise given his track record with predicting Liverpool victories and West Ham losses.
Both Lawro and his competitor Andy Murray do not believe that Liverpool will beat West Ham with both agreeing on a 1-1 scoreline.
Lawro cites Liverpool’s lack of mental strength as the reason and thinks that West Ham will flood the midfield and stick with the three at the back formation that worked so well against Spurs.
Tennis star Andy Murray agreed that these two would share the points and added:
“Another draw, I think! 1-1”
