Elliot Lee has joined League One side Colchester United on a month’s loan until Saturday 23 November.

The 18-year-old striker made his Premier League debut in the 1-0 home loss to Stoke City after impressing for the Development Squad.

So far he has scored five goals in six U21 Premier League appearances and it is thought a loan spell could give him the first-team experience he needs to make a permanent step up to the first-team.

Colchester are currently 14th in League One and are without a win in their last ten matches. Lee could make his U’s debut in their League One trip to Shrewsbury Town in Tuesday night.
