West Ham will be looking to continue their push against relegation this weekend, when they host top-six chasing Everton.

The London Stadium has seen it’s fair share of disappointment this season, with the Hammers securing just six wins in 16 matches, but Slaven Bilic’s side have turned things around in recent weeks.

A crucial victory over Swansea City, accompanied by a draw with Sunderland last week, has lifted the Hammers to nine points above the relegation zone.

There’s still a lot of work to do though but BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson is expecting positive performances to continue this weekend, writing in his weekly predictions:

“West Ham are another team who are clear of the relegation scrap, although the Hammers still have issues.”

“For some reason Slaven Bilic’s future as manager remains in doubt, when the real problem behind their disappointing season is their poor recruitment last summer.”

“Everton’s home form is very impressive but away from Goodison Park they have won only one out of six league matches in 2017.”

“When they are on the road, the Toffees just don’t seem to create the same number of chances that they do at home, so I am going to go for a draw here as well.”

Lawrenson is predicting a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium, which could boost the Hammers’ survival chances further.
