Reports in Spain suggest West Ham are in talks with Osasuna defensive midfielder Raoul Loe ahead of €2.2million move.

The 24-year Cameroon international is thought to be in London to have talks and a medical with the Hammers and is Sam Allardyce’s pick to replace the injured Mohamed Diame.

Diame has been an inconsistent performer this season after a successful debut campaign last year and, following increased speculation of a January move away from the club, looks set for a prolonged injury lay-off after he was stretched off against Manchester City at Upton Park on Tuesday night.

And Loe, who is a player of similar ilk to Diame, is expected to put pen-to-paper on a permanent deal at the club, with West Ham paying €1.1million up front and another €1.1million in the summer.

Loe has made just seven La Liga appearances for Osasuna this season, while last season he netted twice in 23 appearances.
