Mark Noble’s testimonial is going to be a huge occasion, not just for Mark himself but also for the Boleyn Ground.
Everyone was so chuffed that Nobes had been granted a testimonial by the club after over a decade of service, and we’ve since been eagerly awaiting to hear who’s going to call up to his squad.
We all knew it’d be a squad full of former West Ham stars from recent years, most of whom played their best years alongside our skipper.
And over the last 24 hours we’ve seen the first four players announce their pride at being called up by Nobes on Twitter, all with varying levels of hero status at the Boleyn Ground.
First off was Rio Ferdinand, who revealed his honour at being given the chance to wear the famous claret and blue for one last time at our famous home before we move to the Olympic Stadium…

Next up was Trevor Sinclair, who echoed Rio’s delight and had fans excited to be able to see Sincs playing for one final time…

Then came Carlton Cole, the great man himself. Cole will forever be a fans’ favourite at the Boleyn Ground and it’ll be fantastic see him back at home for one final game before we move…

And then finally, the enigma that is Ravel Morrison tweeted earlier that he’s got the date in his diary and will be playing. He has to be the most surprising name on the list so far, but one I think we’re all really excited about. It didn’t really work out for Rav at the club before, but the chance to see his unquestionable talent at the club again will be fantastic…

I wonder who’s next…
