West Ham are targetting a move for West Brom’s Matheus Pereira, according to Hammers insider ExWHUemployee.

It’s widely accepted across the fanbase that if the club are unable to bring Jesse Lingard back on a permanent basis this summer, then all efforts should then go into to signing the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old impressed for the Baggies last season, scoring 11 goals in 33 Premier League outings, but couldn’t prevent them from being relegated at the first time of asking.

It’s now believed he wants to leave the Hawthorns this summer and West Ham are interested in giving him a route back into the top-flight.

ExWHUemployee confirmed the club’s interest in the attacking midfielder with a thumbs-up emoji on Twitter earlier this week, and the Hammers faithful were understandably buzzing with the news.
