Sam Allardyce is interested in prising Manchester United stopper Anders Lindegaard away from Old Trafford, according to reports this week.
The 28-year-old Dane has struggled to hold down a first team spot at United and is getting less and less opportunities to take the No.1 jersey from Spanish keep David De Gea.
He hasn’t played in the Premier League since conceding three against Reading back in December and it appears he’ll be allowed to look elsewhere for regular playing time this summer.
These developments strengthen the claims that Allardyce doesn’t expect current Hammers stopper Jussi Jaaskelainen, 37, to remain his first choice goalkeeper beyond this season.
