According to The Sun, Yaya Toure might leave Manchester City in the summer with West Ham among the interested parties.

West Ham United would consider a move to bring Yaya Toure to The London Stadium in the summer if he does choose to depart.

Pep Guardiola reportedly wants to keep the Ivory Coast international at Manchester City despite freezing him out during the first half of the season.

The dominant and powerful box-to-box midfielder has featured more regularly in the second part of this campaign but he wants to be assured of his game time before committing to a longer deal.

If he does depart, the 33-year-old will be at the centre of a Premier League transfer tussle with West Ham and Crystal Palace interested.

Newly promoted duo Newcastle United and Brighton will also rival the Hammers for the services of Yaya Toure.

If West Ham did sign Toure, it might spell the end of Havard Nordtveit’s West Ham career as he would have to compete with Toure, Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate and Mark Noble in the middle of the park.

Yaya Toure is rated at £8.5m by transfermarkt.com.
