New West Ham signing Thilo Kehrer had a Premier League debut to forget on Sunday.
The Germany international tripped Brighton striker Danny Welbeck to give away a penalty in the first-half, allowing the Seagulls to take the lead.
Brighton went on to win 2-0, making it 11 games unbeaten against the Hammers in the Premier League era, and Kehrer was left to rue his mistake in the first-half that kick-started West Ham’s third straight Premier League defeat.
But Kehrer took to Instagram after the game to express his frustration at the result but hinted that he and his teammates are already focused on putting things right in the games to come.
Alongside a photo of himself in action, Kehrer wrote: “Unfortunately not the result we expected but let’s focus on the next one.”
