Razvan Rat believes West Ham were unlucky to not take anything from the 3-2 loss to Everton on Saturday.
Rat made his first Premier League start for the Hammers at the Boleyn Ground and was disappointed not to have marked the occasion with three points.
And Rat insists Romelu Lukaku’s winner for the vistiors was lucky, while Leighton Baines’ two free-kicks were a rare show of quality from a player in one game.
Speaking to whufc.com, he said: “I think for us we were unlucky on Saturday. The third goal, when Mirallas crossed, it took a deflection off Ginge and the ball goes directly to Lukaku’s head, so, for me, we were unlucky.
“I don’t think they had too many moments, to many chances to score. But Baines had the best free-kicks and two in a row is really interesting.
“This doesn’t happen very often. It’s really amazing for the same player to put in one in the left [corner] and one in the right. So, amazing free-kicks.”
But the Romanian international believes the squad must now move on from the disappointment and concentrate on putting things right as soon as possible.
“We just need to keep going, to try and get better results and get some wins,” he added.
