Manuel Pellegrini has only just arrived at West Ham but it seems he’s already learned how difficult the club can be in the market.

The SunĀ states the Chilean boss faces an immediate power struggle at West Ham due to concerns about Mario Husillos, who he wants to bring in as the club’s new head of recruitment.

Pellegrini worked alongside Husillos previously at Malaga but the board are not convinced on his appointment, after the Spanish side were relegated from LaLiga this season.

It’s been a turbulent few years for Malaga, who have gone from Champions League football to the second-division in Spain, and Husillos returned to head their recruitment in October.

He was given the January transfer window to try and save Malaga from relegation but failed to do so, signing eight players – not of whom impressed at the club.

West Ham’s senior figures are said to be worried about Husillos’ recent record in the transfer market and how it would look to the fans, who are already not happy with their tenure.
