West Ham United’s new signing, Javier Hernandez, has revealed that he turned down other offers to sign for the Hammers, reports Sky Sports News.

Earlier today, Chicharito appeared for his first press conference since joining West Ham and revealed that he turned down offers from Spain and Italy.

The 29-year-old joined his team mates for pre-season training earlier this week in West Ham’s Germany camp.

Chicharito revealed how he turned down offers to join West Ham in the “best league in the world”.

With quotes from Sky Sports News, Hernandez said:

“It was a little bit simple really.

“I’m in the best league in the world and West Ham showed me a lot of confidence and trust.”

The Mexican international went on to explain that West Ham showed ambition, which attracted him to the club.

Talking about the prestige of the club, Javier Hernandez added:

“West Ham is showing more ambition compared to the last seasons.

“They want to qualify for Europe, you can see that in the transfer window.

“That’s why I’m here.

“They’re one of the most historic teams in England, very ambitious this season and hopefully we can achieve our goals.”

The “Little Pea” revealed that he had other offers.

However, he added that West Ham is his top choice.

Hernandez said:

“There were other options – one in Spain and two in Italy.

“The last two transfers I made on the last day, this time it was more calm and easy.

“Thankfully I’m where I want to be.”
