Despite losing two consecutive Premier League games, our run of five games unbeaten and a 100% record in February looks to have ensured we’ll be playing top-flight football next season.
We may be just six points above the dreaded relegation zone with just nine games left to play but, according to Bloomberg Sport’s clever league table predictor, we will have nothing to worry about come the end of the season.
In fact, they predict we’ll stay just where we are in 12th, which is one hell of an improvement on where a lot of fans envisaged we’d finish during that disastrous run of form in December and January.
What’s more interesting is that, according to their projected relegated teams and the points they are expected to finish with, we only need at least four points to ensure safety between now and May, but we’re predicted to pick up another ten.
