Harry Redknapp was briefly linked with a return to West Ham when Sam Allardyce’s job appeared to be hanging by a thread.
The former Hammers boss enjoyed a good spell as manager back in the 90s/early 00s and will always be remembered for his wheeling and dealing in the transfer window.
He’ll also be remembered for introducing English football to some of Tony Carr’s ‘creations.’ Frank Lampard, Jermain Defoe, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole and many more West Ham academy products initially made their name at West Ham under Redknapp’s tutelage.
That aside, Redknapp’s managerial reputation really does point back to his love for a bargain in the window, and this has been recreated as part of Coral’s new marketing campaign.
