West Ham United’s defensive target Santiago Arias has revealed that his entourage are in discussions regarding a transfer away from PSV Eindhoven this summer.

The 25-year-old Colombian international was heavily linked with a move to West Ham in January, although no bid was made, but the door has been opened for a swoop at the end of the campaign.

Speaking to Dutch newspaper Algeman Dagbladthe defender suggested he’d be open to a summer transfer to one of Europe’s top-five leagues.

“I have a contract until 2019 with PSV, but I am ready for the next step.”

“In the summer I hope there is clarity as soon as possible. My agent knows I want to go to Germany, England or Spain and is working on that. After four seasons in Eindhoven it feels like an end of a cycle.”

Arias has been a mainstay in PSV’s side since moving to the Eredivisie outfit in 2013, whilst he’s also established himself as a regular for Colombia’s national side.

The right-back has accumulated 31 appearances for his nation and is an affordable option for the Hammers, as Transfermarket values his services at £5.05m.
