The Boleyn Ground will play host to World Cup finalists Argentina in November, according to reports this evening.
In what most are calling a warm up to Lionel Messi’s meeting with West Ham in next season’s Champions League, his Argentina side are to face Croatia in a friendly match on November 12th.
And it could also mean a return for Hammers hero Carlos Tevez in what could be his last ever appearance at the ground he became a fan favourite in the 2006/2007 season – that’s if we manage to slip up in our bid for a top four finish.
But it will no doubt be an opportunity to see Lionel Messi play at the Boleyn Ground for the first ever time and it’ll no doubt give him a taste of what to expect when Barcelona come visiting next season.
Here’s how some of the fans have been speaking about the news on Twitter…
Messi at Upton Park next month, it’ll be good practice for him before he plays us in the Champions League next season.
