We’ve enjoyed a good start to the season and we’re actually looking like a team capable of finishing in the top ten for once.

So far there isn’t a single player in the squad that hasn’t been at the top of their game this season and it’s evident they’re all pulling in the same direction, with an evident good feeling and brilliant squad cohesion around amongst the players.

But a few injuries have threatened to derail our good start and, perhaps, damage Allardyce’s new era as a more positive manager with an attacking style of play.

Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate and Guy Demel are all sidelined at the moment, which is a huge loss to us, particularly the midfield pair who have been superb for us so far this term.

But our strength in depth has the chance to prove its worth over the next couple of weeks, particularly with the likes of the Kevin Nolan and Matt Jarvis returning from injury. This is something we haven’t had for a while and it’s comforting to know that we’ve got quality to fall back on when injury strikes.

So with the injuries we have to the side, who makes the starting line-up against QPR today? Here’s how we think Allardyce could select his side…
